CHICAGO — The city's largest art acquisition in the last 30 years, exclusively done by Chicago artists, has been unveiled inside O'Hare's Terminal 5.The $3.5 million public art commission, led by Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) and the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), was recently installed with a few more pieces awaiting installation.The new project at Terminal 5 joins recently completed projects at the O’Hare Multi-Modal Facility (MMF).In April, the airport unveiled "REACH" — which is a sculpture consisting of two arms and hands, approximately 27 and 31 feet long. CHICAGO — Attorneys for former Northwestern University football coach Pat Fitzgerald are expected to file a muti-million dollar lawsuit against the school on Thursday.The lawsuit will claim breach of contract.Fitzgerald was fired after an investigation into hazing allegations in the football program, even though it found he did not play a role.Fitzgerald is reportedly seeking more thank $40 million for his existing contract, and more money for lost coaching income that he would have received. OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Management of a south Oklahoma City mobile home park urged its residents this week not to speak out about a 13-foot-long cat-eating albino python still in the neighborhood. Residents of Burntwood Mobile Home Park claim the park's management knew about the python since June and did nothing. AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Public Health (APH) and Austin Independent School District (AISD) will host a flu vaccine clinic in southeast Austin Saturday. The annual Boo the Flu Clinic will happen from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Allison Elementary on 515 Vargas Road, APH said. Spanish interpreters will be available on-site. Klein represented himself in court, defending himself from accusations he killed Philip Rabadi in April 2022, just months after Rabadi married Klein’s former girlfriend, Elana Radin. ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Officials say two U.S. Army soldiers were killed Monday after a military transport vehicle flipped on a dirt road leading to a training area in Alaska. One of the two teenagers convicted of murder in a deadly Halloween 2022 apartment fire has been sentenced to seven years.Lakewood police in November 2022 arrested a 14-year-old and a 12-year-old in the fire that killed 31-year-old Kathleen Payton and her 10-year-old daughter Jazmine Payton-Aguayo, injured ten other people and displaced everyone in the 32 units of the Ashley Square Apartments, 935 Sheridan Blvd.The 14-year-old, now 15, pleaded guilty in July to two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree arson and assault charges.He was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Youth Service with 113 days of pre-sentence confinement credit, according to a news release from the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.The other teen has a status hearing Oct. 16.Latest news
